OBITUARIES

EDWARD MARTIN KERESEY
TROY - Edward Martin Keresey, 84, passed away February 21, 2007 at his home following a brief illness. He was born October 9, 1922, in Gardner, MA, a son of Henry and Edna (Holm) Keresey. He was a native of Gardner, MA and a resident of Troy since 1987. Ed served his country during WWII in the South Pacific on PT boat 367. After the war, he attended Becker College and received a degree in accounting.

He was employed by Sieman and Sieman Public Accounting Firm for twenty years. He then became an Internal Revenue Agent, retiring in 1985. He was past president of the Lions Club and coached Little League baseball for many years. Ed was also a member of the American Legion in Unity and he enjoyed his small farm in Troy after his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Blanche Keresey of Troy; 2 sons, Martin and wife Brenda Keresey of Troy and Brian and wife Cheryl Keresey of Alton; 3 adopted children, Hydee and husband John Ward of Belfast, Robert Keresey of Pittsfield, and Marcy and husband Sean Macomber of Unity; 3 step children, Judy Fontaine and husband Fred of Winchendon, MA, James Gagnon and wife Mary of Freemont, CA and David Gagnon and wife Kathleen of Orlando, FL; 2 brothers, James and wife Stella Keresey of Gardner, MA and Henry and wife Polly Keresey of Salem, MA; 21 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, February 25th at the Troy Union Church, Route 9, Troy. Spring burial will be in Rogers Cemetery, Troy.
