ALDEN A. RACE
ABBOT, Alden A. Race, 81, died December 29, 2006, at the Maine Veteran's Home in Bangor. He was born November 8, 1925, in Abbot, son of Glenn and Mae (Kirk) Race. Alden served in the US Navy beginning in WWII, and retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. Following his retirement from the Navy, he made a career of helping others. He loved woodworking and helping with fixer-up projects for family and friends.

He is survived by uncles including, Harland Kirk of WA, and Ervin Kirk of Abbot; and several cousins.

At his request there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Abbot Village Cemetery.
