ALDERIA "DEARIE" BAILEY
DEXTER - Alderia M. Bailey, 73, died December 31, 2001 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born February 28, 1928 at Dexter the daughter of Freeman and Denise (Dyer) Mountain. She attended N.H. Fay High School and was a communicant of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Dearie was an employee of SAD # 46 food service program for over 40 years, and was a member of the Dexter Fire Department Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Shirley B. Carter Post #4298 V.F.W. Auxiliary. Dearie enjoyed spending time with her family in Dexter and Connecticut, as well as the family dog Ko-Ko.

She was predeceased by her husband, Chester L. Bailey in 1996, as well as a brother Galen Mountain and a sister Beverly (Mountain) Clukey. She is survived by 2 sons, David and his wife Norma Bailey, Stephen and his wife Pamela Bailey, all of Dexter; a sister Evelyn Mountain of Vernon, CT, and a brother Roger and his wife Dorothy Mountain of Ft. Pierce, FL; 3 grandchildren, Christian and his wife Heidi Bailey of Bucksport, Mark Bailey and Kimberly Bailey, both of Dexter; 2 great grandchildren, Ryan and Tatum Bailey-Somers; 2 step great grandchildren, Joey and Jaime Carmichael; a niece Cheryl Smith; and 2 great nieces, Kelsey and Nicole Smith. She will be sadly missed by dear friends Arthur and Janice Ellis.

Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Friday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street, Dexter. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 7 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 A.M. Saturday, January 5th at St. Anne’s Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Memorial donations may be made in her name to a scholarship fund to benefit a student furthering their education in the food service field, in care of Dexter Regional Federal Credit Union, P O Box 233, Dexter, ME 04930.
