ALMA MAYO
DEXTER, Alma Mayo, 96, died December 14, 2000 at a Dexter health care facility. She was born June 1, 1904, in Van Buren, daughter of Alfred and Julie (Beaupre) Madore. She attended schools in Van Buren and came to Fairfield to work. She married Ralph P. Mayo of Fairfield and moved to Dexter where she lived and worked for most of her life. Her husband of 58 years predeceased her in 1984.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Robertina and Allan Gwynne of Roseville, California and Elaine and John Salley of Dexter; a sister, Annie Madore of Presque Isle; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call Sunday 2-4 PM at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main St., Dexter. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 AM Monday at St. Anne's Catholic in Dexter with Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francis Cemetery in Waterville.
