ALTA M. GOULD
EXETER – Alta M. Gould, 78, died August 12, 2007 at her Exeter Road residence. She was born August 18, 1928 at Bridgewater a daughter of Woodford and Casstella (Parker) Sands. Alta had been employed at Snowflake Canning Company, Eastland Woolen Mill, and the Dexter Shoe Company.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Gould, Sr. of Exeter, and her children: Arlene and the Rev. Frank Gould of Stetson, Roger and Robin Shaw of Berkley, MA, Rodney and Donna Shaw of Corinna, Brenda Shaw of Exeter, Tammy Gould of Hartland, Robert Gould, Jr. of Corinna, and Ellimay Ham of St. Albans; 2 brothers, Woodford and Gloria Sands, and Fred Sands, all of Bangor; a sister, Gerry Woods of Belfast; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.

Graveside committal services will be held 10 AM Saturday at Chamberlain Cemetery, Exeter, with the Rev. Frank Gould officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna. Those who wish may sign an on-line guest register at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
