ANITA (HANSON) HEWINS
NEWPORT – Anita (Hanson) Hewins, 89, died December 30, 2006.She was born June 17, 1917 at Newport, a daughter of Freeman and Gracie (Spaulding) Hanson. She was a graduate of Newport High School, Class of 1937. Anita was a faithful member of the People’s United Methodist Church in Newport.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Donald Hewins; a son Michael and wife Dianne Thurston of Carrollton, Ohio; a brother Rodney and wife Nellie Hanson of Newport; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Norman, Jasper, and Harold; and a sister Irene Wyman.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM Thursday, January 4th, at the People’s United Methodist Church, Newport, with the Rev. George Darling officiating. Family viewing will be private.
