OBITUARIES

ANNA E. LIBBY
Anna Libby HARMONY, Anna E. Libby, 84, died February 28, 2008, in Dexter at the home of Diane Perkins, who was like a daughter to her. She was born March 17, 1923, in Sandy Point, daughter of James and Helena (Keller) Van Horn.

She attended Higgins Classical Institute in Charleston. She loved to play Bingo, and was well known for her homemade donuts. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and quilting, and made many gifts for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Clayton F. McGinley and her second husband, Elison “Lib” Libby, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.

She is survived by 3 sons, Ronald McGinley and his wife, Raye, and James McGinley all of Harmony, and Stephen McGinley and his wife, Audette, of Indiana; 2 daughters, Barbara Gourley of Harmony, and Margaret and her husband, Ernie Johnston, of Clinton; 13 grandchildren, Jason, Lisa, Donna, Donald, Tommy, Stacy, Jennifer, Josh, Craig, Stacey, Stephanie, Benjamin, and Virginia; 16 great grandchildren, including a special great granddaughter, Nicole, who cared for her in her home and made it possible for her to remain independent for a long time.

There will be no public services at this time. Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Main Stream Cemetery in Harmony. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Harmony Ambulance, c/o Brian Bagley, 37 North Road, Harmony, ME 04942. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
