ARLENE E. ALLEN
DEXTER - Arlene E. Allen, 83, went home to be with the Lord March 21, 2008. She was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Pittsfield, a daughter of Elton and Adelia (Benjamin) Leathers. She was a member of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle, Dexter, and was loved by all who knew her. Arlene was also a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Skillings and Mattie McCarthy, both of Harmony and Esther McCarthy Bingham and husband, Phillip, of Dexter; five grandsons, John Skillings, Galen Thompson Jr. and Derrick Thompson, Thomas, and Joshua Jones; four great-granddaughters, Sabrina Wiliams, Karolyn and Mary Thompson and McKenzie Jones; three great-grandsons, John Skillings Jr., Dominick Skillings and Nicholas Jones.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle, Main Street Hill, Dexter, with the Rev. Robert DeLeon officiating.
