ARTHUR L. BURNHAM, SR.
PALMYRA, Arthur L. Burnham, Sr. 80, passed away April 2, 2002 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born March 31, 1922 in St. Albans, son of Miron and Caroline (Tyler) Burnham. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 32 in Pittsfield for 36 years and was also a member of the V.F.W. Post in Pittsfield and the 40/8 in Waterville.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Geraldine (Richardson) Burnham of Palmyra and his friend, the dog, Roscoe; two daughters, Candace Shlitter and Patricia Neil; three sons, Bruce Washburn; Jai Kybler and Arthur Burnham Jr.; a brother, Harvey Burnham; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, George Burnham.

Private calling hours will be held at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home in Newport. Burial will be in the Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Belgrade. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in his memory to, American Legion Post #32, c/o Ed Paradis, P.O. Box 151, Pittsfield, ME 04967.
