BARBARA A. HURD
DOVER-FOXCROFT - Barbara A. Hurd, 58, died Dec. 3, 2001, at her daughter's home in Parkman. She was born June 8, 1943, in Houlton, the daughter of Kenneth and Marion (Crandlemire) Malone.She was a graduate of Hodgdon High School, Beal Business College and Maine State Academy of Hair Design. Barbara had worked in the personnel office at Guilford Industries, and then for many years as a CNA at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft and St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel Hurd III and his friend, Michelle Hodges of Dover-Foxcroft, Ralph Hall and his wife, Terri-Lynn of Charleston; a daughter, Natalie Jo Weston and her husband, Jason of Parkman; four grandchildren, Courtney Lynn Hall, Danielle Hurd, Billie-Jo Hurd, Brandon Scott Weston; two aunts, Annabelle Flanders of Virginia Beach, Va., Ellen King of Holden; and a special friend and companion, Ivory Webber of Dover-Foxcroft. She was predeceased by a sister, Beulah Porter and two nieces. She will be sadly missed by her dogs, Little One and Snuggy.

Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, with Pastor Ivory Webber officiating. Burial will follow in New Limerick Cemetery.
