BARBARA A. (MATTHEWS) TROY
GUILFORD- Barbara A. (Matthews) Troy, 85, died February 24, 2009, at her home after a brief illness with cancer. She was born in Guilford on February 21, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Deckerhoff) Matthews. Barbara graduated from Guilford High School and Becker College in Worcester, MA. She was a lifelong communicant of Holy Family Catholic Church in Sangerville. She was a member of the Carpo Club of Guilford and was a former member of the S.A.D. #4 School Board. For many years she served as a Town of Guilford Election Ballot Clerk, a position she enjoyed very much.

She is survived by her husband, Milton W. Troy of Guilford; two sons, Matthew W. Troy of Guilford, and Martin J. and his wife Cindy Troy of Waterville; one daughter, Victoria A. Troy of Dover-Foxcroft; 3 grandchildren, Ryan J. and Angie Troy of Benton, and Laura K. Troy of Bethesda, MD; and 2 great grandchildren, Mykenzie Veilleux and Miranda Troy, both of Benton.
