Barbara Jean Foisy
PALMYRA – Barbara Jean Foisy, 65, died May 29, 2012 at a Bangor hospital. She was born August 29, 1946 in Keene, N.H., a daughter of Robert and Eleanor (Yettaw) Story. She graduated from Natick [MA] High School, Class of 1964.

She was a manager at New England Telephone for many years, worked several years at Jamie Oil Company of Ashland, Mass., and, after receiving certificates in both fields, was a certified real estate agent and a certified H. & R. Block tax advisor. After retiring, she moved to Maine with her husband 6 years ago. Barbara was an avid gardener, was known to be a creative person, and especially enjoyed interior decorating.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Foisy of Palmyra; a son, Jon Foisy of Dayville, CT; 2 daughters, Jeanette Cox of Marlboro, Mass. and Kristina Foisy of Madison; 2 sisters, Paula Wagner of Medway, Mass. and Martha Story-Foisy of Freedom; 1 grandson, Matthew Cox; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Story II.

Barbara is also survived by her beloved 5 cats, Money Penney, O.J., Spooky, Pussy Galore, and Louis; and her dog Jean Marie.

No services are planned. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Somerset Humane Society, 123 Middle Road, Skowhegan, ME 04976.
