BARBARA L. FAIRBROTHER
GUILFORD, Barbara L. Fairbrother, 70, died Feb. 12, 2001 at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 3, 1930 in Monson, daughter of Lynwood and Ella (Preble) Leighton of Willimantic. Barbara was very active in the United Methodist Church in Guilford. She belonged to the Lord and Ladies Square Dance Club, the Square Dance Camper's Association and the Guilford Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Fairbrother of Guilford; son, David Fairbrother of Guilford; three daughters and their husbands, Judy and Charles Dunehew of Illinois, Kathy and Larry Stoddard of Scarborough, Sandy and Rod Ayers of Rhode Island; a brother and his wife, Milton and Barbara Leighton of New Jersey; three sisters and their husbands, Ruth and William Dauphinee of Willimantic, Carol and Lawrence Budden of Greenville and Diane and Ernest Bonsey of Dover-Foxcroft; five grandchildren, Bruce and his wife, Jacqueline Dunehew and their son, Jaiden, twin granddaughters, Kimberley and Stephanie Stoddard and Joshua and Allyson Ayers; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Friday at the United Methodist Church of Guilford with Rev. Dr. Margaret "Dodie" Stowe officiating. Spring burial will be in the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the United Methodist Church, P.O.
