BARBARA M. GABERT
WILLIMANTIC- Barbara M. Gabert, 69, formerly of the Manchester, VT area, passed away at her home in Willimantic November 25, 2008 following a long battle with cancer. She was born in Manchester on May 18, 1939, the daughter of Myron A. and Lilliam (Tifft) Jones. She married Richard H. Gabert on November 5, 1965.

Barbara enjoyed going to fairs, auctions and yard sales. She especially enjoyed traveling to visit her family. Barbara was a person who always put others before herself.

She is survived by her husband Richard of Willimantic, 3 sons; Frederick F. Hale of Chester, VT, Richard H. Hale of Andover, VT and Rick H. Gabert of Cambridge, 3 daughters; Nancy L. Walsh of Weston, VT, Betty M. Hodgin of Manchester, VT and Victoria R. Ruggles of Gardiner, ME, 3 brothers; Myron A. Jones of West Rutland, VT, Frank Jones of Fair Haven, VT and Edward Withington of Cuttingsville, VT, 2 sisters; Ruth Jones and Mildred Jones both of Manchester, VT, 24 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Azuby Jones, Frances Hewes and Alfreda Skidmore Richard.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday December 2, 2008 at the Brewster Funeral Home, 34 Park Place, Manchester, VT, with burial in Factory Point Cemetery.
