OBITUARIES

BARRY ALBERT DAVIS
GUILFORD - Barry Albert Davis, 54, died Jan. 6, 2004, at an Orono nursing home, with complications from diabetes and kidney failure. He was born Dec. 27, 1949, in Dexter, the son of Leon A. and Margaret (Wheaton) Davis. He graduated from PCHS in Guilford, Class of 1969. He worked for Guilford of Maine and Irving Tannery of Hartland, and owned his own store in Cambridge for awhile. Due to illness he was unable to work the last few years.

He is survived by his sister, Brenda Davis Quiet and her husband, Harold, of Dover-Foxcroft; two nephews, David Quiet and his wife, Ann, and great-nephew, Samuel of South Burlington, Vt., and Duane Quiet and Mary Raynes of Hillsboro, Ore.; one uncle; many aunts and cousins, including a special friend and cousin, Roger Millett. He will also be remembered by two friends, Larry and Dean. He was predeceased by his mother in 1995, and his father in 2003.

Graveside services at the family lot in Sangerville Village Cemetery will be announced in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Maine Affiliate Inc., 163 Lancaster St., Suite 98R, Portland, ME 04101. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
