BEATRICE "BEA" M. GRANT
ABBOT – Beatrice “Bea” M. Grant, 76, died February 23, 2002, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 8, 1925 in Abbot, the daughter of Alvah and Vina (Higgins) Perkins. Bea graduated from Guilford High School in 1943. After graduation she worked for Hamilton Propeller in Hartford, CT. On returning to Maine she worked for Dakins Sporting Goods in Bangor. She then worked for Hardwood Products. From 1958 until 1991, she worked at Guilford Industries.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Erroll E. Grant Sr.; one daughter, Noreen Crocker; one son, Erroll E. Grant Jr.; three grandchildren, Tara Harper, Heidi Crocker, and Derrick Crocker; five great-grandchildren, Tia Grant, Samantha Harper and Reyanna Harper, Cameron Mushero and Cody Mushero; three cousins, Ida Greenleaf of Foxboro, MA, Betty Stebbins of Winchester, MA, and Peggy Davis of Augusta, Maine.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday May 23rd at the Village Cemetery in Abbot with Rev. Kenneth Dale officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to Mayo Regional Hospital, 75 W. Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME, 04426. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.
