Bertha C. Knowlton
UNITY—Bertha C. Knowlton, 81, died August 7, 2013 at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born December 18, 1931 in Clifton, a daughter of Eugene and Mary (Gusha) Pinkham.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Knowlton, Sr. of Troy; 3 sons, David Knowlton and wife Tracey, who was a special daughter in law to Bertha, of Dixmont, Michael Knowlton of Unity, and Douglas Knowlton of Hartland; 3 daughters, Shirley Jewett and husband Rick of Dixmont, Roberta Bowden and husband Bruce of Etna, and Tammy Knowlton of Troy; a brother, Herbert Pinkham of Bangor; 21 grandchildren, Jason, Donna, Lisha, Andrea, Bridgett, Michael, Michelle, Alyssa, Alicia, Michael, Andy, Kendra, Allan, Josh, Candice, Miranda, Ashley, Matt, Melissa, Derrick, and Daniele; several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and many special friends at the Sandy Stream Village. She was predeceased by her son, Ernest Knowlton, Jr.
