BETTY R. COMBER
GREENVILLE, Betty R. Comber, 79, passed away peacefully at her home on August 29, 2007 surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Greenville, she was born on October 10, 1927.

She was predeceased by her husband, Howard K. Comber in 1992. She was also predeceased by her mother and father, James and Ola (Edgerly) Mason; 3 brothers, James, Donald, and Owen Mason; 1 sister, Joan McAfee. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and volunteered at the Food Cupboard. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, driving about town, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, James H. and his wife Christine L. Comber of Fairfax, VA; a granddaughter Tara M. Comber of Herndon, VA; a sister and best friend, Mary K. Ryder of Greenville; and a brother-in-law, Donald Comber and his wife Jill, of Melbourne, FL. She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at the Greenville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the C.A. Dean Hospital, P.O. Box 1129, Greenville, ME 04441.
