OBITUARIES

BEVERLY I. KURKI
SANGERVILLE, Beverly I. Kurki, 74, died February 19, 2008, at her home in Sangerville. She was born June 4, 1933, in Parkman, daughter of Earl and Iva (Bartlett) Grant. She lived for much of her life in Mass., moving back to Maine in 2000. A very caring person, she was all about family. She enjoyed camping, archery, and loved dancing in her younger years.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roger O. Kurki of Sangerville; a son, Roger A. Kurki; 3 daughters, Margaret Webb, Bonnie Sladeski and her husband, Rick, and Christine Kurki all of Mass.; a brother, Francis Grant and his wife, Maxine, Carl Grant and his wife, Patricia all of Sangerville; a sister, Maxine McPhetres of Etna; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; 2 sons-in-law, Jim Collins and Bob Webb both of Mass; 2 sisters-in-law and their husbands, Thelma and Enos Hamilton of Green Lake, and Ethel and Don Higgins of Saco. She was predeceased by 3 daughters, Sharon Parrott, Regina Collins, and Wendy Farrar; 2 brothers, Harold Grant, and Kenneth Grant.

She will be greatly missed by many friends in both Maine and Mass. There will be no public services at this time. Spring burial will be in the Russell Village Cemetery in Russell, Mass.
