BEVERLY S. OLDENBURG
NEWPORT—Beverly S. Oldenburg, 74, died October 21, 2005 at a Pittsfield nursing home following a long illness. She was born September 18, 1931 at Newport, the daughter of James Howard and Edna (White) Seavey, Sr. She graduated from Newport High School Class of 1949. Beverly had been employed as telephone operator, a crossing guard and in the hot lunch program at Newport Elementary School.

She is survived by 2 sons, Tracy and wife Tammy Oldenburg of Newport and Rick Oldenburg of AZ; a daughter, Denise “Deedee” and husband Ned Herrold of FL; 3 brothers, Howard, Sr., Lyle, and Larry Seavey, all of Newport; a grandson, Brandon Oldenburg, also of Newport. She was predeceased by her husband Edgar in 2003.

A memorial service will be held 11 A.M. Friday, October 28th at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. George Finnemore officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 163 Lancaster Street; Suite 160B, Portland, ME 04101.
