BRADFORD PARK LIMBERT Son of Frank B. and Paula (Hirschberg) Limbert, Bradford was born November 3, 1915 in Brooklyn, New York. In 1917, the family moved to Closter, New Jersey. He married Edith Stewart on September 21, 1940 and they continued to live in Closter until 1975 when they retired to Abbot. Bradford was a lifelong member of the Knickerbocker Hook and Ladder Company and the Closter Rescue Squad. He also was active in the Closter Lions Club, and the Mt. Kineo Masonic Lodge in Guilford, ME. He served Closter as a Borough Councilman and a as member of various local committees. He was co-owner with his brother, Frank, of Limbert Brothers Coal & Oil Company and eventually the Home Power Equipment Company. In the 1960's, he joined the Pasbjerg Management Company as head of the property management division. During his retirement in Abbot, Bradford was a member of the Big Pine Gun Club, Trout Unlimited, and the Valley Grange. He took an active interest in Abbot town affairs, traveled extensively with his wife, Edith, throughout the United States and Canada, enjoyed fishing and canoeing Maine's rivers and lakes, and managing his farm interests. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith; brothers, Donald G. Limbert, Frank P. Limbert; sisters, Irma L. Pasbjerg and Audrey Gillette. He is survived by daughters Priscilla L. Watson and husband William of Park City, UT, Deborah L. Rocque and husband Roger of Manchester, ME, and son Peter B. Limbert of Haddon Heights, NJ. He is also survived by granddaughters Jessica L. Bancroft and partner Rebecca Henry, Elizabeth B. Hoch and husband Eric, step-granddaughters Robin E. Wright and husband Jamie, and Jennifer Rocque-Tifft, husband Lane Tifft, and their daughters Alexandria, Cassandra, and Samantha; and his sister-in-law, Fay S. Bergman. According to his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Burial will take place at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkhill, NY at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in memory of Mr. Limbert to the Knickerbocker Hook & Ladder Company, Closter, NJ or the Bangor Humane Society, 693 B Mt. Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401.
