BRIAN "BEAR" F. LUCE
ST. ALBANS – Brian F. Luce, 46, went to be with his earthly father and his Heavenly Father on April 20, 2005 at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 7, 1958, a son of Carlton and Violet (Harding) Luce. Brian attended Beal College in Bangor for 2 years. He was a member of the Charleston Pentecostal Church and had been employed as a security guard at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna and Guilford Industries in Newport. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and was a state hunter safety instructor.

In addition to his mother of Newport, he is survived by 3 brothers Ronald and wife Neva Luce of Newport, Thomas and wife Tammy Luce of Stetson, Randy and wife Ellie Luce of East Newport; 3 sisters, Irene and husband Pat Haining of Stetson, Nancy and husband David Sgroi of Bangor, Frances and husband Hien Nguyen of Auburn; 2 step-children; 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by his father in 1984.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport. A family graveside committal service will be held Tuesday at the family lot, Highland Cemetery, Carmel, with Pastor William Preble officiating.
