BURCHELL AUGUSTUS RONCO
GUILFORD - Burchell Augustus Ronco, 88, died April 16, 2001 at a Dover-Foxcroft health care facility. He was born in Guilford, Feb. 6, 1913, the son of Augustus and Lula (Hatch) Ronco. He graduated from Guilford High School in 1932. In 1925 he became a charter member of the Guilford Boy Scouts, and received his Eagle award in 1931. He was associated with the Boy Scouts for over 20 years and for most of that time he served as assistant Scout Master. He worked for Guilford Industries in the dressing dept. for 39 years before retiring. He was a member of Good Cheer Lodge No.37 for over 50 years, and was a Past Noble Grand. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by two sons, Bradley of Manchester and Bernard and his wife Linda of Ripley; four grandchildren, Brian and Theresa Ronco, Debra Davis and Rebecca Clark; five great grandchildren, Christopher, Leah, Derek, Megan and Ian; a sister, Fern Robinson; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Veronica in 1992 and a son, Wayne in 1938.

There will be no public visiting hours or funeral services at this time. A graveside committal service will be held later in the spring at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford.
