CANDACE M. "CANDY" LELAND
SANGERVILLE- Candace M. “Candy” Leland, 55, died October 29, 2008, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born May 5, 1953, in Farmington, daughter of Daniel and Beatrice (Whitney) Chandler.

She graduated from Mt. Blue High School class of 1971. She worked for Bass Shoe for several years, and later after becoming a certified nurse’s aide, worked for Sandy River Nursing Home.

In 1985 she moved with her family to the Sangerville area. She loved crafts, making jewelry, and spending time with her granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband, David Leland of Sangerville; a son, Scott Leland and his girlfriend, Rose of Sangerville; a daughter, Michelle Weeks and her husband, Tim; and two grandchildren, Macy and Danielle Weeks, all of Parkman; a sister, Cherrilynn Chandler of Monmouth; three brothers, Adrian and his wife, Marilyn Chandler of New Sharon, Bruce Chandler of Ellsworth, and Barry Chandler of Jay; several nieces and nephews; and many friends at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Abbot.
