CAROL F. ROLLINS
GARLAND – Carol Frances Rollins, 73, died February 9, 2009 at a Dexter health care facility. She was born July 23, 1935 in Dexter a daughter of Fred and Charlotte (Lowell) Rollins. She was educated in the Garland Grammar School and graduated from Dexter High School in 1954 and Husson College in 1956. She was an active member of 4-H in her youth and attended the 4-H Congress in Chicago. After working for a time for Pappy Rappy and Smiling Dave, she worked at Sears Department Store for 43 years. Carol was active in community affairs, serving as missions treasurer of the Garland Community Baptist Church, treasurer of Garland Grange and secretary of the Garland Historical Society.

Carol is survived by sisters Sandra and husband James Thomas of Garland, Shirley Jeanne and husband Norman Gould of Wilton; a sister-in-law, Jean Rollins of Garland; nieces and nephews Alyce and husband Bill Masters, Mary and husband Peter Wilson, Kevin Thomas and wife Shari Allen, Terry Thomas, Margaret and husband Nate Daku, Marcia and husband Brian Crosby, Nathan Gould and fiancée Tracey Ayotte, Ernest and wife Andrea Rollins; aunts Joyce Mitchell and Molly Rowe. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Ralph, her uncle Bradley Lowell and her aunt Thelma Allen. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at Garland Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Buzzell officiating. Spring burial will be in West Garland Cemetery.
