OBITUARIES

CHARLES C. LAWLER, SR.
PALMYRA – Charles C. Lawler, Sr., 68, died December 12, 2007 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born October 14, 1939 at Harmony a son of Marshall and Virgie (Shorey) Lawler. Charles had been employed for many years as a woodsman, and at Irving Tanning in Hartland, and Guilford of Maine in Newport. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.

He is survived by his children, Gail Ann McCarthy of St. Albans, Robert and wife Lee Lawler of Palmyra, Judy and husband Clay Watson of Harmony, David Lawler of Norwich, NY, Charles Lawler, Jr. of Palmyra, Christine and husband Rocky Leavitt of Hartland, Ernest Lawler of Cornville, Mirisha Lawler of Hartland, Harvey and wife Polly Elderkin of Pittsfield; brothers and sisters, Eva Butler of St. Albans, Jim and wife Phyllis Lawler of Harmony, Hector and wife Esther Lawler of Oklahoma, Waneta and husband Gordon Withee of St. Albans, Earle and wife Nancy Lawler of Harmony; as well as a special friend Bonnie Stone.

He was predeceased by a son, Timmy Elderkin, as well as brothers and sisters, Freida Fanjoy, Frank Lawler, Maurice Lawler, Alice Harriman, Freeland and George Lawler and an infant brother Carroll Roger Lawler. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday, May 16th, at the Lawler family lot, Palmyra Village Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Sprague and the Rev. Ronnie Parker officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
