OBITUARIES

CHARLES D. COTA
PITTSFIELD – Charles Delbert Cota, 76, went home to be with the Lord August 26, 2008. He was born February 21, 1932 at Caribou a son of John and Anna (Maskell) Cote. Charlie served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. He owned and operated a dairy farm in Pittsfield for many years, and more recently worked at the Ethan Allen plant in Burnham until it closed. Charlie was a quiet man and never complained. He loved doing paint by number pictures, reading, collecting stamps, and spending time with his family. He always watched for the first barn swallow and first humming bird of the season. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Roy and Andrew.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gloria (MacDougal) Cota of Pittsfield; a son, Ron and wife Shary Cota of Burnham; 2 daughters, Sherry and Joe Humphrey of Burnham, Laureen and husband Mike Snowman of Hartland; a brother Leslie Cote of Fort Fairfield; a sister Edith and husband Nick Geiger of PA; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside committal services will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 30th, at the family lot, Pittsfield Village Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
