Charles E. Scribner
GREENVILLE JCT.- Charles E. Scribner, 88, died October 15, 2012, at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville. He was born in New Vineyard, July 13, 1924, son of Handley and Gladys (Handley) Scribner.

He loved the Lord and was a man of great faith. He worked as a truck mechanic for New England Transportation, The Connecticut Bus Company and for Mack Truck.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary (Laskey) Scribner of Greenville Jct.; 2 children, George Scribner and his wife, Donna, of VA, and Debra Stewart of CT; 8 grandchildren, Alex, Joel, Christina, Jeannie, Joshua, Kevin, Kyle, and Kenneth; and 11 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Steven Scribner; his twin brother, Handley; a sister, Elizabeth; and a brother, Ronald.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the New Life Church in Greenville, followed by burial in the Greenville Cemetery.
