CHARLES L. "GRIMPY" MCKENNEY JR.
Charles McKenney PARKMAN- Charles L. “Grimpy” McKenney Jr., 74, died April 29, 2008, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born June 19, 1933, in Newport, son of Charles and Evelyn (Hinton) McKenney Sr. He worked in the woods all his life, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved hunting. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed people. Grimpy was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed.

He is survived by his wife, Annie (Morrison) McKenney of Parkman; 2 sons, Keith McKenney of Parkman, and Kyle and his wife, Wendy McKenney of Parkman; a daughter, Keisha McKenney of Parkman; 4 grandchildren, Keisha Gray, Derek and Zachary McKenney, Jason McKenney; 5 brothers and their wives, Billy and Lena McKenney of Milbridge, Dale and Vickie McKenney of Parkman, Peter and Sharon McKenney of Harmony, Tony and Lana McKenney of Parkman, and Larry and Shari McKenney of Parkman; 5 sisters and their husbands, Sally and Ronnie Hughes of St. Albans, Joeline and Bill Inman of Cambridge; Arolin and John Coggswell of Thorndike, Donna and Nelson Sheppherd of Cumberland, RI, and Patti and Skip Fletcher of St. David; a sister-in-law, Christine McKenney of Cambridge; special friends, Larry and Christa Brennick. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Thomas McKenney and D. Michael McKenney, and a sister, Theo Jacobson.

Graveside services will be held 10 AM, Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman with the Rev. Dr. Richard Davis officiating.
