CHESTER A. SAULMER
NEWPORT - Chester A. Saulmer, 78, died October 22, 2009. He was born August 3, 1931 in Dover-Foxcroft, a son of Perley and Olive (Robbins) Saulmer. He worked for many years as a herdsman for Veazieland Farms in Corinna, and several other area dairy farms. Chet enjoyed hunting, fishing and going for long walks.

He is survived by a son, Lee and wife Jenny Saulmer of Palmyra; a step daughter, Laurie Chabot of Dexter; a step son, Greg Thurston of Livermore; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Ralph, Ivan, and Victor; and 3 sisters, Sandra, Norma, and Betty.

A graveside committal service will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 29th, at Dover Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com.
