OBITUARIES

CLARENCE E. FIELDER
GREENVILLE, Clarence E. Fielder, 74, died May 31, 2005, at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville. He was born March 12, 1931, in Franklin County, Virginia, the son of Eli and Sallie (Ferguson) Fielder. He served in the US Navy from 1948 to 1952. Following the service he lived in Delaware, moving to Greenville 20 years ago, where he worked as a house painter for many years. He was predeceased by his companion of over 30 years, Goldie Turner.

Clarence is survived by 5 children, Michael Fielder, Gloria Jean Love, Gregory Fielder, Roger Fielder, and David Fielder all of North Carolina; his mother, 2 sisters, Louise Poegl and Susie Barton all of Virginia; his cat Toby; special friends, Pat and Dave Vaughn of Greenville; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 PM, Friday, June 3, 2005, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, at the American Legion Hall in Greenville, with burial in the Greenville Cemetery. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to the American Legion, P.O. Box 1222, Greenville, ME 04441.
