Clifford W. Sawtelle Cliff was employed for 20 years at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna, owned a local restaurant with his wife for 3 years, and then owned and operated Sawtelle’s Carpentry with his son Garry from 1969 to 1997. He attended the Exeter Cornerstone Baptist Church in the summer and was a member and Deacon of the Faith Baptist Church, Zephyrhills, FL. He was a member of Parian Masonic Lodge #160 and a former member of the Corinna Sewer District and Stone Ezel Lodge #39, I.O.O.F. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nola Sawtelle; 3 children and their spouses, Garry and Marge Sawtelle, Karen and Terry Gallison, all of Corinna, and James and Holly Sawtelle of Bellows Falls, VT; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister Betty and husband Herbert Dow of Corinna and Florida; as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Franklyn “Bud” Sawtelle, a sister Edith Janet Smith, and an infant daughter in October 1956. A celebration of his life will be held 4 P.M. Friday, December 7th at the Faith Baptist Church, 38634 Hwy 54 East, Zephyrhills, FL. Friends may call from 3 P.M. until the time of the service. A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, December 15th at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Exeter, with Pastor Stan Griffin officiating. Friends may call from 1 P.M. until the time of services. Spring burial will be in the Corinna Village Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, Corinna.
