Clifton Byron Woodman
DETROIT – Clifton Byron Woodman, 82, died October 28, 2013 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born April 17, 1931 in St. Albans, a son of Fred and Myrtle (Hunt) Woodman. Clifton was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was employed for many years as a heavy equipment operator. He loved to dance and was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by a daughter, Lorie Chabot and husband Philip; a grandson, Brandon Derosier and grand-daughter Kimberly Derosier, all of Dexter; 1 great grand daughter and many nieces and nephews; his long time companion, Alma Field of Detroit; his siblings, Alpine Taylor of Veazie, Reginald and wife Caroline Woodman of Skowhegan, Verda and husband Lynwood Wilson of Florida, and Florence and husband Edward Grignon of St. Albans.

He was predeceased by his brother Gordon Woodman, formerly of St. Albans.

A graveside committal service with military honors will be held 11 AM Friday, November 1st, at the Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna, with the Rev. Ricky Parker officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 383 U. S. Route 1, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
