DAVID V. RACE David served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Guilford Industries and was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Dover-Foxcroft. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cecile (Todd) Race of Sangerville; his children and their spouses, David, Jr. of Minnesota, Clayton of Danvers, Massachusetts, Jeff of Winslow, Christine of Dexter, twins Matthew and Mark, both of Dexter, and Glen, also of Dexter; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a brother Henry and a sister Janet Leighton. He was predeceased by three grandsons, Greg, Gary, and Matthew. Friends may call from 5:30 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Oak Street, Guilford. A graveside committal service will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday, June 12th, at Abbot Village Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to the New Life Baptist Church, 749 Route 7, Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426; or to the Stott-Flanders Post # 165 American Legion; c/o Joseph Grant, The Village Restaurant, Main Street, Sangerville, ME 04479.
