OBITUARIES

DONALD B. HARRINGTON
GREENVILLE- Donald B. Harrington, 62, died October 25, 2008, at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville. He was born October 16, 1946, in Boston, MA, son of Donald and Irene (Drollett) Harrington. He graduated from Braintree High School class of 1964 and then enlisted in the US Navy. He served in Danang, Vietnam as a Communications Officer, and was also stationed on the USS Pritchett. He loved and respected his fellow veterans and stayed in touch with many of them. After the Navy he was employed at Armstrong World Industries in Braintree, MA for 31 years, retiring in 1996. In 2000, he and his wife bought a home in Greenville, and in 2003, they moved to Greenville permanently, where he lived the dream of the avid outdoorsman. Don loved hunting, fishing, wildlife photography, and spending time outdoors with his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joy (Holbrook) Harrington of Greenville; sisters, Eleanor Harrington of Sagamore Beach, MA, Nancy Neill and her husband, Arthur of Sandwich, MA; sisters-in-law, Gail Holbrook of Mt. Vernon, ME, Jill Holbrook of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Judith Swanson and her husband, Steven of Port St. Lucie, FL; a brother-in-law, Ronald Holbrook and his wife, Paula of Marshfield, MA; many nieces and nephews, and special friends.

Friends may call from 1 to 3:30 PM, Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the American Legion Post in Greenville. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital, P.O.
