DONALD C. GREENE, SR.
PLYMOUTH—Donald C. Greene, Sr., 77, died April 8, 2003, at his residence. He was born February 22, 1926 at Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, Canada, a son of Hiram and Edna (Rockwell) Green. (sic.) He graduated from Newport High School, and served in the U. S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. Donald worked as a self-employed carpenter in the local area. He was a member of the Barrows-Skidgel American Legion Post #105, and was a charter member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 11191 of Newport. He also belonged to the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his children, Donald, Jr. of Newport, Ronald of Etna, David of Plymouth, Gloria Tozier of Pittsfield, Sharon Littlefield of Guilford and Bonnie Davis of Plymouth; a brother, Murray Green of St. Albans; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, M. Ruth Greene and a daughter, Sally Smith.

There will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday, April 11th, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Reverend David McLeish officiating. A graveside committal service will be held 3 PM Tuesday, May 20th, at the family lot, Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth, with the Rev. David McLeish officiating.
