DONALD F. CLUKEY
GUILFORD - Donald F. Clukey, 81, died March 10, 2003, at a Bangor nursing facility. He was born July 5, 1921, in Sangerville, the son of Roy and Marguerite (Clukey) Clukey. A World War II Navy veteran, Don had worked as a machinist for Pratt & Whitney and for Fay-Scott.

He is survived by his long time companion, Doris Clukey of Guilford; a stepdaughter, Joyce Lander and her husband, Robert, of Abbot; three step-grandsons and their wives, Greg and Janie Lander of Monson, Scott and Debra Lander of Dover-Foxcroft, Dayne and Lorna Lander of Abbot; three step-great-grandchildren, Sgt. Scott Lander Jr. and his wife, Wendy, of Dover-Foxcroft, Stephanie Higgins and her husband, Troy, of East Rochester, N.H., Dustin Lander of Monson; a step-great-great- granddaughter, Michaela Joy; and a great-great-grandson, Jacob Higgins, both of East Rochester, N.H.; a sister, Althea Gifford of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Russell; and one beloved step-great grandson, Josh Lander.

Graveside funeral services at the family lot in Sangerville Village Cemetery will be announced by the Lary Funeral Home in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Josh Lander Scholarship Fund, care of Foxcroft Academy, 975 West Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
