OBITUARIES

DONALD L. LIBBY
EXETER – Donald L. Libby, 69, died September 7, 2005 at a Togus hospital following a long illness. He was born April 7, 1936 at Brewer a son of Amasa and Alva (Ring) Libby. Don served in the U. S. Army during the deactivation of hostilities in Korea. After returning home, he was a self employed auto mechanic and also worked for J & J Auto Salvage in Orrington. He was a well known rabbit breeder at his Exeter farm for the past 21 years. He was a charter member and director of the Eastern Maine Rabbit Breeder’s Association, a director of the Aroostook County Rabbit Breeder’s Association, and was a member of the American Rabbit Breeder’s Association.

Don is survived by his wife, Valerie (Garceau) of Exeter; three sons, Rod Libby of Orrington, Mark Reynolds of Hampden and Christopher Reynolds of Bangor; 2 daughters, Crystal Rogers of Orland, Tammy Kimball and husband Bruce of Milford; 3 brothers, Lloyd and wife Althea Libby of Exeter, Arthur and wife Ann Libby of Orland, Richard and wife Donna Libby of Brewer; a sister, Doris and husband Danny Mayhew of Levant; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Arlene Rogers, a brother Edward, and a son, Anthony Spaulding.

There will be no public visiting hours. A graveside committal service will be held 11 AM Friday, September 16th, at the Chamberlain Meeting House Cemetery, Exeter, with Pastor George Finnemore officiating. Donations may be made to assist the family, c/o Mrs. Valerie Libby, 691 Chamberlain Meeting House Road, Exeter, ME 04965. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna.
