DONNA M. DOWNS
NEWPORT – Donna M. Downs, 77, died October 21, 2006 at her Summer Street residence. She was born July 19, 1929 at Guilford Center a daughter of Edward and Isabelle (Burgess) Church. She attended Guilford schools; and had been employed at the Irving Tannery in Hartland.

Donna is survived by 2 sons, Carroll “Red” Downs, Jr. and wife Marjorie of Newport, Michael and wife Debbie Downs of Hickory, North Carolina; a daughter, Deborah and husband Francois Rouillard of Exeter; 3 brothers, Maynard and wife Marcia Church of Dexter, Norman Church of Newport, and Keith Church of Winslow; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a great great grand daughter; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Downs, Sr. on September 22, 2003; 3 sisters, Vivian, Crystal, and Virginia; and a grandson, Scotty.

At her request, there will be no visitation. Graveside committal services will be held 3 P.M. Thursday, October 26th at the family lot, Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland, with Pastor Buddy Gough officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
