OBITUARIES

DOROTHEA L. MELVIN
Dover-Foxcroft – Dorothea L. Melvin, 89, died July 2, 2004 at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born on the 4th of July, 1914 in Parkman a daughter of Daniel and Elsie (Fisher) Smart. She worked many years as a spinner at Dumbarton Woolen Mill in Sangerville, Guilford Industries in Guilford, and Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

She was predeceased by her husband Reginald, a son Leon, and daughter-in-law Ruth Melvin. Dorothea is survived by 3 daughters, Maxine and husband Francis Brawn of Dover-Foxcroft, Geraldine and husband Hubert Tremblay, Debborah and husband Michael Woodbury, and a son, Wayne Melvin, all of Dexter; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak Street, Guilford. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10 AM Wednesday, July 7th. Burial will be in the Pingree Center Cemetery, Parkman.
