DOROTHY H. WHITNEY
DEXTER AND GREENVILLE- Dorothy H. Whitney, 87, died November 21, 2010, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born February 2, 1923, in Exeter, daughter of Benjamin and Madeline (Crawford) Hammond.

She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Whitney Jr.; and a brother James Robert Hammond.

She is survived by a son Douglas Whitney; 2 grandchildren, Darcey Hall and Derica Martin; 6 great grandchildren, Dylan, Bailey, and Charles Martin, and Ethan, Jessica, and Sarah Hall; a great great grandchild, Aiden Hall, all of Greenville.

At her request, there will be no public services at this time. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to the Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mt. Hope avenue, Bangor, ME 04401.
