DYLAN GREGORY LYFORD
MILO - Dylan Gregory Lyford, 19, died unexpectedly Feb. 15, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1990, in Bangor, the son of Gregory and Susan (Conklin) Lyford. Dylan grew up in Milo and graduated from Penquis Valley High School, Class of 2008. He was currently a freshman at the University of Maine -Orono. Dylan was always active in school and liked to get involved in every school activity. He was a fun-loving boy who played hard and loved much. He was compassionate and caring. Dylan loved animals; he enjoyed all sports, especially soccer, and he was devoted to his friends and family. Dylan will be forever in our hearts and thoughts, and he would want his friends to remember the good times and to know that he loved them very much.

Dylan is survived by his best friend and brother, Douglas Lyford; and his mom and dad, Susan and Gregory Lyford, all of Milo; his grandparents, Bertha and Roland Lyford, and Douglas and Sophie Conklin, all of Milo; his uncles, Rick Conklin and girlfriend, Sandy Leavitt, Doug Conklin and girlfriend, Joanna and their daughter, Anna-Jo, Kirby Lyford, Tony Lyford, John Paul Hoxie; and his aunts, Darlene Hoxie and Robin Lyford, all of Milo, Cindy and husband, Leroy Cronkhite, of Livermore Falls, and Rhonda Clark of Bangor. He also leaves his cousins, Phil and Allison Woodard, and Ashley Lyford, all of Milo, Kirby John Lyford of Texas, Krista and Kevin Gerrish of Brownville Junction, Val and Tom Hocking of Garland, Heather and Ryan Cronkhite of Livermore Falls, and Krystle and Spencer Leavitt of Milo.

Friends are invited to call 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at Penquis Valley High School, and all are encouraged to bring a favorite photograph of Dylan to share. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at the school with the Rev. Michele St. Cyr officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dylan G. Lyford Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of MSAD No. 41, 37 West Main St., Milo, ME 04463.
