EDITH (DUFAULT) EVANS
NEWPORT-Edith M. (Dufault) Evans, 73, died November 16, 2001 at a Pittsfield hospital. She was born February 28, 1928 at Newport the daughter of James and Elsie (Sheridan) Dufault. She was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna, and from 1970 to 1990 at Bangor Mental Health Institute. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester on February 5, 2001.

She is survived by 2 sons, Neil and Kevin both of Newport; 6 daughters, Cheryl Evans of Cocoa, FL, Beatrice Bowman of Newport, Cynthia Kennedy of Hanesville, GA, Marilyn Ouellette of Ellsworth, Barbara Peirce of Apopka, FL and Andrea Heckel of Palmyra; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 23 at 12 noon at the Riverside Cemetery, Newport with Rev. Marriott Churchill officiating.
