EDWARD F. CONWAY
BANGOR & DEXTER - Edward F. Conway, 63, died February 13, 2002 at an Ellsworth hospital from complications of diabetes. He was born August 31, 1938 at Dexter, the son of Francis and Marion (Bean) Conway. He graduated from Dexter High School, Class of 1956. He served 6 months in the Army Reserve. He was employed for many years as a hand sewer at Dexter Shoe Company, then as a house painter and later a cook after he graduated from the culinary program at Eastern Maine Technical College. He attended Bangor Baptist Church and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Celtics.

He is survived by 3 sons, Andy and his wife Kim Conway of Dexter, Alan and his wife Angela Conway of NH and Eric and his wife Michelle Conway of Bangor; 1 daughter, Laurie and her husband Steven Sweet of Augusta; 1 brother, Francis Conway of NH; 6 grandchildren, Adam, Jordan, Alexander, Shannon, Cameron and Danyel; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
