Edward L. Scott
GARLAND – Edward Scott, 87, died peacefully September 13, 2013 at the family farm. He was born May 16, 1926 in Maxfield, a son of Cecil and Ethel (Davis) Scott. He started the Scott dairy farm on the Oliver Hill Road in 1953 and it is operated by his family to this day. He served on the Garland Board of Selectmen for 17 years and was a member of Pacific Lodge Masons of Exeter. He was also a member of Anah Shrine in Bangor. Ed will be remembered as an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by 6 sons and their wives, Frank and Vickie Scott of Garland, Keith and Connie Scott of Charleston, Rodney and Roberta Scott of Garland, Jeff and Blakena Scott of St. Albans, Barry and Teresa Scott of Garland, Karl and Sheila Scott of Garland; 2 sisters, Marie Champluvier of Garland and Charlene and husband Paul Peavey of Charleston; 28 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren, with another due any day; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by his loving dog Charvo. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis, a sister, Dorothy Tanguay, and 3 brothers, Chester, Cecil, Jr., and Dennis.

The family would like to especially thank his caregivers, Ruth and Mary.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Charleston Pentecostal Church, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, September 17th, with the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Garland, where the officers of Pacific Lodge will conduct a Masonic burial service. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
