ELEANOR A. GETCHELL
DEXTER, Eleanor A. Getchell, 84, died June 27, 2005, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born February 8, 1921, in Lowell, Massachusetts, the daughter of John and Rosella (Northrop) Morton. She was a long time member of Charleston Pentecostal Church. Eleanor volunteered at the Dexter Nursing Home, and at the Dexter Christian Academy for many years.

She is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Charles and Joyce Getchell of Dexter and Walter and Joyce Getchell of Nashville, Georgia; a daughter and her husband, Ann and George Crossman of Milo; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Leo S. Getchell.

Friends may call Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 61 Main Street in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday, June 30, 2005, at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Ronald Libby and the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating.
