ELEANOR M. HOPKINS
CORINNA – Eleanor Marguerite Hopkins, 84, died peacefully July 19, 2003 at a Dexter healthcare center, where she had resided for the past four years. She was born October 13, 1918 at Corinna, a daughter of Elmer and Gladys (Shepherd) Hopkins. She graduated from Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1936, and the Maine School of Commerce in Bangor (Husson College). She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Border Express, and later, at Bean and Conquest, both of Bangor. She enjoyed traveling to Kansas and other states visiting relatives and friends. Eleanor returned to Corinna in 1992 where she enjoyed her flowers and gardening.

She is survived by five nieces, Ruth Hopkins of Winthrop, MA, Beverly Moody and husband Willis of Findlay, OH, Carlene Muller and husband Thomas of Poland Spring, Mary Anne Knowles of Palmyra, and Cathy Hopkins of Lyman; eight grandnieces and nephews; five great grandnieces and nephews; and many cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Carl in 2001; and a sister-in-law, Alice Hopkins in 2003.

A graveside service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, July 22nd, at Corinna Village Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna.
