ELINOR L. GORDON
WILLIMANTIC, Elinor L. Gordon, 74, died August 20, 2005, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born April 10, 1931, in Willimantic, a daughter of Guy and Grethel (Green) Leighton. She worked in shoe manufacturing, but will be best remembered for her love and care of animals, especially her little dog, Trixie, who she carried in her pocket book wherever she went.

She is survived by a brother, whom she raised, Gary Dearborn of Brewer, and a brother, Donald Lrighton of Greenville; many nieces and nephews, including a niece whom she raised, Glenna Garcia of California. She was predeceased by her husband Al Gordon, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Friends may call Wednesday, August 24th from 6 to 8 PM at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak Street in Guilford. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 2:00 PM with Gary Dearborn officiating.

Graveside committal services for Elinor L. Gordon, 74, who died August 20, 2005, will be held Thursday, August 25, 2005, at 2:00 PM, at the Riverside Cemetery in Willimantic. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Guilford.
