ELIZABETH J. "BETTY" MCKUSICK
DEXTER – Elizabeth J. “Betty” McKusick, 81, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born May 30, 1926 at Dover-Foxcroft a daughter of Charles and Helen (Dow) Eldridge. Betty graduated from Foxcroft Academy and worked as an area telephone operator, and later, at P. E. Ward Department Store.

Betty’s greatest joy was living on the dairy farm and raising her family. Her home was always open to friends and family where you could have a great homemade meal, good conversation and a competitive game of cribbage.

She is survived by a daughter and two sons: Margo and husband Robert Titus, Mark and wife Cheryl, Matthew and wife Lynn McKusick, all of Dexter; a brother Wilson and wife Janet Eldridge of AZ; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Richard, Jr.; and 2 brothers, Warren and his wife Patricia of Albany, NY, David and his wife Marjorie of Sangerville.

At her request, there will be no funeral. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401.
