ELLEN M. CARMODY
ETNA, PLYMOUTH & LAKELAND, FLORIDA Ellen Mae Carmody, 67, wife of Roger Carmody, was called home on Thursday, April 12, 2001 at a Lakeland, Florida hospital. She was born May 6, 1933 at Etna the daughter of Albert and Ivadean (Harris) Curtis.

In addition to her husband of Lakeland, FL, she is survived by 2 sons, Verne Gray of Clearwater, FL, and Harold Henderson, Jr. of Dexter; 2 daughters, Christine Hewitt and Ann Marie Carmody, both of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Kathy Middleton and Aaron Gray of Stafford, CT; Jeanine Henderson of Canton, OH, Crystal, Stephanie, and Timothy Hewitt of Richmond, VA; 2 sisters, Florence Dodge of Waterville, and Marion Smith of Newport, NH; a brother, Perley Curtis, Sr. of Exeter. Ellen will also be fondly remembered by her dear cousin Christy Rines and good friend Vivian Stevens. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Martin and Albion Curtis, and 2 sisters, Dorothy Carlton and Linnie Curtis.

Friends may call from 5-8 PM Tuesday, April 17th, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Newport. Graveside committal services will be held later in the spring at the family lot, Detroit Village Cemetery, with the Rev. Phyllis Webber officiating.
